  • Bob Crechale, longtime owner of Crechale's Cafe on Highway 80, died on Christmas Eve after undergoing extensive ICU care. The family said the restaurant — a Jackson staple for over 60 years — will reopen on New Year's Eve as future plans are determined.  WAPT

  • Jackson Public Schools use wraparound services to help students facing food insecurity by offering laundry, food, clothing and health clinics. The community schools work with local partners (such as a church and the Junior League) to support both students and their families.  Mississippi Today
