- ➤ The Mississippi Governor’s Mansion was adorned on Dec. 4 with holiday decorations celebrating state K-12 students and educators through the 'A Season of Success' theme; displays featured book-adorned trees and gold nutcrackers that honored local education achievements. Mississippi Free Press
- ➤ Friends and family gathered in Jackson to celebrate the legacy of former Mississippi ACLU president Crystal Welch, remembered for her love for children and commitment to social justice. Welch died in 2024, and her legacy lives on through community efforts. FOX 40

- ➤ Work is underway behind the black fencing at Metrocenter Mall to build a mini city with 600 apartments, a grocery store, a service station, and emergency services (the plan also aims to halt ongoing dumping).
