- ➤ Briarwood Arts Center volunteers cleaned the streets in Belhaven Heights on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.—they also organized a merch sale where a $10 shirt purchase earned a tote bag for food donations to local banks. FOX 40
- ➤ Mississippi Move held its 11th Sleep-Out at Pittman Park to raise awareness about homelessness and offer help with safe housing and health care—organizers gave out food, hygiene items and screened people for health needs. WAPT
- ➤ Redeemer Church purchased the vacant building at Chastain Middle School on November 24 to expand its campus+ the church said it will use the extra space for ministry and community work. WLBT News

- ➤ The Better Business Bureau (BBB) warns Jackson residents about holiday online shopping scams as retailers offer big sales. - ➤ Food Depot in Jackson has boarded up its windows and doors after workers confirmed it will close in early December—customers walked through the nearly empty store and said they were disappointed by fewer affordable food options. WAPT

- ➤ A ribbon ceremony on Tuesday morning marked the opening of West Rankin Parkway — a $60 million project in the works since 1992 that shortened the drive from Flowood to Pearl and eased traffic on major corridors.
