- ➤ Deep South Today and Murmuration surveyed over 5,000 residents across the region and found that many still rely on local TV, newspapers, and social media for political and civic information—especially in Mississippi and Louisiana. - ➤ United Way of the Capital Area is taking donations for the United Community Response Fund to help households with food, housing, and utilities — donations will support residents in Hinds, Madison, and Rankin counties. - ➤ Jackson's municipal auditorium, known as Thalia Mara Hall, is expected to finish renovations by year’s end, the mayor said at a Senate committee meeting.
