- ➤ Jackson Mayor John Horhn and Hinds County Board of Supervisors President Robert Graham announced a new agreement on Tuesday between the city and county to repave streets and address potholes and sinkholes. The county will supply workers and equipment while the city covers most of the cost. FOX 40
- ➤ A federal judge is expected to approve a payment plan that gives the owners of a North Jackson apartment complex more time to pay a $910,000 water bill with JXN Water—officials said the agreement was reached in court. Under the plan, the owners will pay $227,515.67 on September 15 with monthly installments of $56,878.92 starting October 1 through September 30 and will post a $1 million utility bond—this setup is meant to settle the past-due amount.
