- ➤ The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Silver Alert for 60-year-old Elery Leo Jones who was last seen on Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. near Monaco Street in Hinds County—he suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgement. FOX 40
- ➤ A 4-year-old boy died in Jackson on Monday when his body was recovered from an apartment complex on Greenfield Avenue — a woman was detained at the scene and his body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. WLBT News

- ➤ Bluesky blocked access in Mississippi after a state law from 2024 required users to verify their age, which the platform said forces sensitive data collection and harms free speech—Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch defended the law as a measure to protect young people from online harm.
