Tuesday morning, Jackson Fire Units and AMR blocked one lane on Mcdowell Road during a house fire that injured a firefighter who was taken to the hospital—officials say the cause is under investigation.

Mississippi’s annual tax-free weekend will begin Friday, July 11 and run through Sunday, July 13 for shoppers to save on eligible clothing, footwear, school supplies, and other items priced under $100—online, by mail, and over the phone qualify for the tax break.
