- ➤ A man was shot and killed early Thursday while changing locks on a woman's door at Park Springs Apartments on Shaw Road—his cousin heard gunshots before finding him dead—and police continue to investigate the homicide. WLBT News
- ➤ The Jackson Police Department is searching for a suspect after 53-year-old Troy Howard Jr. was shot multiple times at the 1000 block of Gentry Street and pronounced dead at UMMC when officers received the call on Wednesday at 3:41 p.m.—the suspect, a black male wearing all black, was last seen walking north on Livingston Avenue. - ➤ Mississippi lawmakers approved nearly $700,000 for a pilot program to hire three or four attorneys and support staff in the state’s 5th Circuit Court District. Gov.
