  • On Monday, Memorial Day, community members gathered at the Hinds County Courthouse in Jackson to remember over 500 soldiers who died in past wars (WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam) and to honor veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, with Brig. Gen. Robert Crear speaking.  WAPT

  • Gov. Tate Reeves released the Mississippi Statewide AI Framework today to guide AI literacy, ethical use, privacy, and workforce readiness for all ages. The 27-page document developed with the AI Workforce Readiness Council and AccelerateMS will be updated as technology evolves.  Mississippi Today
  • City officials remind families that the summer curfew for minors remains in effect to help keep youth safe during warmer months. They urge parents to review the curfew rules so children know how to stay out of trouble.  WLBT News

  • Hyde Park Victory Church hosted a free community health fair in Jackson on Saturday that provided blood pressure checks, BMI counseling, insurance education and clothing giveaways to connect residents with essential health services; organizers plan to make the event annual.  WAPT
  • After a 2020 crash left her paralyzed, local patient Kaitlin Reynolds is using ReWalk (a robotic exoskeleton) in therapy to take steps. She will keep the device after therapy and her progress aims to inspire others facing similar challenges.  WAPT
