- ➤ The Jackson Police Department is investigating after a man crashed his vehicle near Elton Road just after 6 a.m.—he then attempted to steal a car from a Good Samaritan who had stopped to help, and police are checking if a weapon was involved. WLBT News

- ➤ On Saturday, the Soul Food Tour came to Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson and offered soul food, live music, games for kids, and vendors (local favorites enhanced the day).
