Residents in Jackson Ward 3 are urging city officials to remove burnt and abandoned homes to improve safety and community livability (they say cleanup is long overdue).

Mississippi Emergency Management Agency released an update on Wednesday’s severe weather response, reporting 26 injuries across three counties (mostly in Lincoln) and around 1,460 power outages while hospitals meet today to assess patients as crews work to clear eight impassable roads.
