- ➤ Mississippi Makers Fest returned Saturday on the lawn outside the Two Mississippi Museums—50 vendors and food trucks showcased art, music, and community spirit as plans to expand the venue for next year were announced. WLBT News
- ➤ Mississippi Makers Fest brought free, daylong music, art and culture to Entergy Plaza at the Two Mississippi Museums on Saturday. Local artisans and food trucks joined live performances by Sam Donald, The Band Perry and Grammy-nominated Kirby — gates opened at 10 a.m. and shows ran until 8 p.m. WAPT

- ➤ On Wednesday, May 7, severe storms impacted over 100 homes in the region; the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reported 18 homes destroyed + 22 with major damage, and damage to 13 businesses while a Red Cross shelter remained open in Lincoln County. WLBT News
