- ➤ Jackson Mayor John Horhn and First Lady Lydia Gail Horhn hosted a free teacher celebration at LeFleur’s Bluff State Park today as part of Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs until May 8. The event featured food, music + giveaways to honor educators shaping our community. WAPT
- ➤ At the graduation ceremony on Sunday, Tougaloo College awarded a posthumous degree to former basketball player Cameron Woodall (who died after an ATV accident in June 2025), with his mother accepting the honor on his behalf. WAPT
