  • Today, local Master Gardeners are hosting an annual plant sale at Mynelle Gardens from 8 a.m. until noon where hundreds of nurtured plants are offered to fund community projects—experts note that many plants are suited for shade after last year’s drought. CRIME NEWS

  • A jury found that two Pearl Police officers violated Jimmy Anthony’s constitutional rights after his 2022 arrest for domestic violence—ordering them to pay a total of $90,000 in damages after he suffered injuries that required hospital care.  WLBT News
  • A silver alert has been issued for Jackson resident Hannah Davidson, who was last seen on April 23 at 10 a.m. in the 1000 block of I-55 North in Hinds County—she was wearing a black shirt, denim jeans and black sandals—and her family says her medical condition may have affected her judgment.  FOX 40
  • On Wednesday, Mississippi Department of Public Safety and Hancock County Sheriff’s Office officers seized over 200 pounds of marijuana and other drugs from a box truck in the eastbound lanes of I-10 in Hancock County—205 pounds of marijuana, 560 THC products, 6 pounds of edibles, and 150 mushroom products were recovered—while officials work to stop illegal drug runs.  FOX 40

  • MEMA remains confident it will receive federal aid after the March 14–15 tornadoes that killed seven and caused over $18 million in damage, and officials now await the president’s decision following the federal declaration sent on April 1.  WLBT News
