- ➤ A hip-hop concert featuring T.I., Ludacris & Rick Ross set for May 9 at Veterans Memorial Stadium has been postponed in Jackson due to low ticket sales. Visit Jackson's Yolando Clay-Moore noted that walk-up buying has hindered early purchases and added that a new date is yet to be announced. WAPT
- ➤ Jack Thornell, the Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who captured iconic Civil Rights images, died at 86 on Thursday in Metairie (Louisiana). Born in Vicksburg (a Mississippi city), he began his career at a local Daily News and left a legacy of historic photos. WLBT News
