Jackson police arrested 48-year-old Calvin Horton — who had been on the run for nearly a decade — on Friday and charged him with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm connected to the 2016 killing of 21-year-old Tyshun Robinson on Belvedere Drive.

A 48-year-old man named Calvin Horton was arrested without bond for the November 22 cold case murder of Tyshun Robinson — officers found a burning Cadillac on Belvedere Drive where Robinson suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and Horton faces charges of murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

Mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by April 22 and received by 5 p.m. on April 30 + polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
