- ➤ The Rankin County Sheriff's Department is investigating a bomb threat made by phone to Northwest Rankin High School—law enforcement swept the campus, finding no bombs, and officials maintained controlled movement for student safety. WAPT
- ➤ A Mississippi grand jury indicted two Capitol Police officers for manslaughter in the 2022 shooting death of 25-year-old Jaylen Lewis during a traffic stop in Jackson — the indictment was filed on March 14 and says the officers acted without a reasonable belief of danger. Mississippi Free Press
