- ➤ Firefighters with the Jackson Fire Department battled at least four abandoned building fires from Sunday afternoon to early Monday morning—one on Julienne Street that rekindled at 4 a.m., one on Erin Glen Street that was fully engulfed at 2 a.m., and two on Hooker Street—with no injuries reported as investigators sought the causes. - ➤ Marshand Crisler, a former interim Hinds County sheriff who also served on the Jackson City Council, turned himself in Friday and is now held in a prison in Beckley, West Virginia—he was convicted in November for taking bribes and supplying ammunition to a felon. WAPT
