- ➤ State budget negotiations remain stalled after talks ended last weekend as Senate and House leaders plan to extend the session on paper, while some lawmakers warned that if no budget agreement is reached by tomorrow, the session would adjourn sine die — leaving government funding at risk. - ➤ Records show that by Monday morning before Tuesday’s primaries, only seven mayoral candidates in Jackson filed campaign finance reports while half, including Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, missed the March 25 deadline.
