- ➤ The Touch-a-Truck event at Trustmark Park gave families a chance to explore trucks, emergency vehicles, and heavy machinery on Friday and Saturday. Hosted by the Junior League of Jackson + proceeds helped fund 30 community projects including a special field trip for 1,000 second-graders. WAPT

- ➤ On Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m., Warren County Fire Service responded to an outside fire at International Paper (a facility handling wood chips and a rubber belt) that escalated into a structural incident; firefighters brought it under control by 10 a.m. with no injuries reported. WAPT

- ➤ Jackson Public Schools held their first job fair of 2026 on Saturday at Kirksey Middle School where about 100 candidates attended to fill roles from teachers to support staff. The district will hold more fairs in the fall to address staffing vacancies and offer referral bonuses. WAPT

- ➤ A colony of bees made a temporary home on the United Airlines ramp at Jackson Municipal Airport on Saturday, Mar. 28. Central Mississippi Honey Bee Removal safely relocated the bees after the airport authority shared video on Instagram + alerted 16 WAPT News. WAPT
