- ➤ Hal's St. Paddy's Parade will take place Saturday, March 28 in downtown Jackson with a changed route starting at Court and West Streets, and it will now include new city rules — banning guns, glass bottles, grills, cooking over open flames, weapons, boomboxes and ATVs. WAPT

- ➤ Businesses in Jackson face higher gas prices as costs average $3.55 today, up $0.20 from last week. Truck driver Liony Ramos (local transport operator) said team driving has increased weekly fuel expenses over 50%, costing between $4,000 to $4,500. WAPT
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Mississippi state archives received newly found KKK documents after their discovery in Jackson. Archivists say the materials will be preserved for research (public history) and made available to interested researchers. WLBT News
- ➤ Rapper Afroman will perform at Martin’s Downtown on April 2 in Jackson + the Hattiesburg native recently won a legal battle over videos mocking law enforcement. WAPT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ St. Andrew’s Episcopal School reported receiving a $1 million donation to fund its new Lower School, which will expand learning spaces and support local students. WLBT News

- ➤ Mayor John Horhn announced that the Planning and Development Department will soon seek bids to revitalize Jackson Zoo in west Jackson (where low attendance and aging facilities have hurt revenue).
