ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Jackson firefighters contained a kitchen fire at Country Fisherman on Highway 80 just before 5 p.m. Thursday when they forced entry after spotting smoke; investigators said unattended cooking caused the blaze, and no one was injured.  WAPT

  • The Institutions of Higher Learning Search Board Committee and the Search Advisory Constituency met Thursday in Jackson to review confidential applications for the next JSU president.
