Encompass Health will build a 50-bed rehab hospital in Flowood that offers 24-hour nursing care & therapies for patients recovering from strokes, orthopedic conditions, and other serious illnesses.

The facility is expected to open in 2027 to serve central Mississippi residents.

The fifth annual Team Hope Walk will be held Saturday, May 2 in Flowood at Flowood Nature Park (registration starts at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.) and will raise awareness and funds for Huntington’s disease research.
