- ➤ The Mississippi House passed House Bill 1310 on Wednesday, allowing public schools an opt-in prayer period. The measure now heads to the Senate+ if approved, it will offer a structured time for prayer that does not conflict with class time. Mississippi Today

- ➤ Gov. Tate Reeves said Tuesday that the federal government approved Mississippi’s broadband expansion plan, which will use BEAD funds to connect unserved areas. The program has selected 12 internet providers and garnered 321 million dollars in private funding (to help 93,000 households) to boost high-speed internet access statewide. Mississippi Free Press
- ➤ On Monday, the state House passed a bill to create a Construction Training Assistance Fund that will use 6.75% of contractor sales taxes to support construction training programs at public schools & community colleges. The fund aims to prepare students for in-demand jobs. Mississippi Today

- ➤ Mental health advocates gathered Wednesday at the State Capitol for Mental Health and Well-Being Day to urge lawmakers to include voices with lived experience in drafting new policies.
