ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ A new analysis from Construction Coverage shows that Jackson residents face rising rent costs as the median rental is $1,411 with three- and four-bedroom homes at $1,608 and $1,777 plus shelter costs grew 3.6% when overall inflation was 3.0%. The study, using HUD and Census data from over 380 metro areas, highlights ongoing housing affordability challenges. WAPT

- ➤ A winter storm over the weekend caused 14 deaths and damaged 223 homes, 10 businesses, and 7 farms, with 12 roads destroyed and nearly 100,000 power outages statewide. State agencies + the National Guard and FEMA are clearing roads and delivering supplies to help affected communities. WAPT
