National Hiking Day Tuesday, November 17, 2026 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Lake Lowndes State Park, Columbus, MS Celebrate National Hiking Day with a guided hike through the beautiful trails of Lake Lowndes State Park! Enjoy a 5-mile guided hike as you explore the park's diverse plant life, native birds, and wildlife while learning more about the natural beauty that makes Lake Lowndes a favorite outdoor destination. Meeting Location: The hike begins at the Equestrian Trail gravel parking lot, located just past the Gatehouse on the left. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow hikers and enjoy the outdoors together.
